a space for fearlessness, vulnerability, silliness, sharing meaningful work
The Newness is a monthly salon I founded, curate, and now co-produce. We began in July 2018 and have no intention of slowing down. An intersectional, interdisciplinary event, The Newness’ goal is to bring folks of diverse backgrounds together to express themselves inspired by the month’s theme. Each month has between 10 and 17 artists who perform to a packed house. We recently began a new play development initiative- New Pages. All curation is grounded in a feminist perspective of POC, LGBTQA+, femme folks to the front. This amplifies voices otherwise drowned out by the white, cis, male, hetero patriarchy.
